Three Days in Tehran with Steve Baker
This time was Harmonica's turn to have a Master Class in Tehran. And who comes into question? Of course the one and only, the Master of Blues, Mr. STEVE BAKER from Hamburg/Germany.
Again it was my honor to invite him for 3 days of educational joy with more than 50 Iranian talented students. The workshop for harmonica was divided in 3 levels: Beginners, Intermediates and Professionals. Also some of the Iranian harmonica Maestros joined this classes and enriched the atmosphere with there knowledge.
Steve Baker who answers any questions from the students with patient and care, which is known from an British gentleman, was amazed to meet so many talented and young harmonica players in Tehran which came from all over Iran, from south of Iran cities like Ahwaz and Boushehr to north of Iran like Amol and Mashhad.
On day 3 we first get into the Sorna Studios and recorded a track written by Steve called "Funky Mardi Gras". This original track can be heard in the short film of Steve Baker's visit in Tehran. After the interview with him we had a Photo shooting session in Sorna's Atelier.
This educational trip ended with a concert in Sorna Hall with more than 100 audience. Steve also played a duet with one of the young talents in Iran Babak Safarnejad, with whom I had the opportunity to play with my pop band Arian in 2010 in Tehran.
We thank Steve for visiting us in Tehran and hope to have him here soon again.
All the best wishes Mr. Baker..........
